Sayera Hossain – Enterprise Adviser for KE VI Handsworth Wood Girls Academy

Sayera joined AECOM as a Project Accountant in 2013, with a back ground in finance and a degree in Economics and Accounting. This involved working with many project teams within AECOM such as Project Management, Cost management, Aviation, Water, Transport and Environment. During this time Sayera was given the opportunity to join the Project Management team as a Project Manager in 2019.

Sayera’s experience lies mainly in Justice and Defence projects for the Ministry of Justice and Foreign Commonwealth Office. This has included working on overseas projects for the FCO. Previous experience also covers project management of Government office fitouts, and large commercial projects. Sayera has assisted with AECOM’s careers support at Handsworth Wood Girls Academy through various initiatives, from delivering speeches, on site and virtual work experience sessions and interview sessions. Sayera is looking forward to sharing her knowledge and experiences as a female minority in Construction to raise awareness of the opportunities in this field.
