We are very proud of our Year 13 students who, despite the unprecedented circumstances, have done really well. 62% of students gained a grade C or above, with the average grade rising by a whole grade overall. In particular, we are extremely pleased about one of our students achieving grade A in Chemistry, Biology and Maths and Aqila Alam exceeding her target grades and achieving a grade B in English Literature, Geography and History. We also have Hafeezah Jan starting a Higher Apprenticeship in Engineering with Network Rail, a highly competitive programme. She was inspired to apply after having completed a work experience with Network Rail and learning about the opportunities with them. In addition, we have several students who have been able to get on to the courses that they applied for at the institutions they wanted to attend, which is excellent.

Those students who need support following their results can contact Mr Billingham or Mrs Plimmer via email or academy telephone number. In addition, they may visit https://hwga.fireflycloud.net/sixth-form-1/results-day-2020

We wish all our Year 13s best of luck for their future ventures!
