Letter to Parents – New Interim Director of Inclusion & SENCO

Dear Parents and Carers,

I am delighted to share some positive news with you regarding our Inclusion Team.

We are very pleased to welcome Mr Phil Petch as our Interim Director of Inclusion and SENCO at King Edward VI Handsworth Wood Girls' Academy. Mr Petch joins us with a wealth of experience, having previously worked as both a SENCO and Headteacher within the Special School sector. His extensive knowledge and passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs will be a tremendous asset to our school community.

At KEVI Handsworth Wood Girls' Academy, we are committed to ensuring that every student feels supported, valued and able to achieve their full potential. Mr Petch shares this commitment and is already looking forward to getting to know our students, families and staff as he helps us continue to strengthen our inclusive provision.

We are currently advertising the substantive Director of Inclusion and SENCO role and hope to make a permanent appointment during the next term. In the meantime, we are delighted that Mr Petch will be leading this important area of our work and supporting our families.
