Curriculum Vision

English has a pre-eminent place in education and society and the English curriculum plays a fundamental role in empowering students to think, communicate and participate fully in society. All students have the right to study English as a discipline and to consider the beauty and truths in Literature.  ​

​Therefore the core purposes of study of English at KEVI HWGA are:​

  • ​To expose students to what is considered to be powerful and important knowledge so that they can think more, think deeper and join the conversation of society​.
  • To encourage confidence when tackling meaning and significance in texts so that students feel comfortable with the extensive and rich tradition of ideas and meaning in English literature​.
  • To provide students with the space and knowledge to impose their own judgements and meaning​.
