Sixth Form School Trips
Trip to the Palace of Westminster
A’ Level Law students attended a trip to the Palace of Westminster on 7th October 2013. Students were given an enlightening opportunity to explore the Palace in its full glory.
The tour included:
The House of Commons Chamber, designed by Giles Gilbert Scott, rebuilt following destruction by bombing in the Second World War.
The House of Lords chamber, completed in 1847, designed to be the grandest room in the Palace of Westminster.
Westminster Hall, the last remaining part of the original Palace
Central Lobby, the very heart of the Parliamentary Estate.
All students were fully engaged in the experience and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to tour such a historic building. Alongside the educational experience, students were able to experience the cultural side of the city. Travelling by National Rail and using the London Underground Tube system for the first time was certainly an exhilarating experience.
